Where we're going to be and when...
The Jam Shed will be in the Food Hall at The Hadleigh Show on Saturday 21st May. We are looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. The show is a brilliant local agricultural show with everything from cows to poultry, horses and horticulture. There will be lots to see, but, taste and
The Jam Shed will be at the David Lloyd Sports Club in Hidea Park on St George’s Day (Saturday 23rd April). The club is holding a Best of British Event featuring Essex foods and crafts. There will be lots to see, taste and do.
But we are inside making 100 Passion Fruit Curds for the weekend. We will be at Halstead on the High St on Saturday (9-2pm) and Burnham-on-Crouch on Sunday in the Carnival Hall (9-12.30pm).
The second Food and Craft market will be held on Saturday (9-2pm) on the High St. As well as brilliant fruit and veg from Mitch and fantastic cheeses from Leigh there will be sausages, artisanal breads, honey gluten free products and of course preserves all from the best local producers. Hot out of the pan, the first batch for 2016 of the highly sort after Rhubarb and Vanilla Conserve. Thank you Anne for the rhubarb. This won’t satisfy the waiting list, but it’s a start. Roll on Summer.
We will be at the Burnham-on-Crouch Farmers Market in Carnival Hall on Devonshire Road from 9-12.30pm. Although it’ll mean an early start, we are looking forward to making new friends and showing our preserves.
We will be at the Danbury Farmers Market on Saturday 2nd April for the first time. Held in the sports and community centre from 9-12 on the first Saturday of the month. We are looking forward to seeing our old friends from the area and meeting new ones.
This weekend the Halstead Farmers market restarts on Saturday 19th March from 9am – 2pm on The High St. The market will take place on the 3rd Saturday of the month up yo and including December. Little L’s run by Lisa Artus opens today in Coggeshall providing preserves from The Jam Shed, artisan breads, teas, coffees, oils, vinegars and homemade cakes and pastries amongst a host of other wonderful local foods. Based opposite the Post Office near the crossing, it has all you you need for a treat or might need.
Nominations close for the Suffolk Food and Drink Awards on March 4th 2016. The Jam Shed has been nominated in the Newcomers category. This is a wonderful local award from the Archant group and recognises local food enthusiasts and companies. This is your opportunity to nominate regional food companies or heroes for a prestigious award.
